Toots n’ Tots is saying Goodbye

Its time to let you all in on a little secret….Toots n’ Tots is closing its doors : (
This may come as a bit of a shock to some of you, others have felt something brewing for a while. Here is the reasoning behind it…
For a long time now I have had the feeling of being pulled in too many different directions and with a young family it was hard for me to do a great job in every aspect of my life without something being compromised. My creative juices have been crying to get out again and so I took time out to redesign my diaper bag line and created the NEW Chelsea Bag. This was the catalyst for the change. I have spent a lot of time promoting other products and not enough time cultivating my creative side, after all Maxwell Designs is now 5 years old this year.
So it is with a heavy heart, but one full of great new found friendships and happy times that Toots n’ Tots is closing BUT Maxwell Designs is being reinvented and refocused. From now on you will be able to enjoy fabulous new creations, new designs, new mediums and so much more. After all it takes a lot of time and focus to make my products with the degree of detail I put in – YES! I still make all my purses/diaper bags myself, by hand, a fact I am very proud of seeing as I only started sewing 5 years ago. I will continue to make diaper bags, wet bags, travel change pads, wipes cases, make up cases and some new and exciting products coming soon…
I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has helped me reinvent Maxwell Designs and to those who have supported me whilst I ran Toots n’ Tots, you know who you are and I you are amazing people. I had a great time meeting all you cloth diaper mamas, I loved our chats, and I got to know some amazing women along this journey. I am still very passionate about cloth diapering and will continue to promote it and help in anyway I possibly can, after all its the way of the future.
What will happen now I hear you ask…..WELL there will be store wide 25% OFF sale on EVERYTHING (except Maxwell Designs products for obvious reasons). This sale will start on MONDAY 17th Oct and end on Nov 4th, where Toots n’ Tots will officially say goodbye and Maxwell Designs will take its place. On Nov 5th we will be closing the site for 1 day and then coming back on Nov 6th as www.maxwelldesigns.ca. I may still carry some popular brands if there is still a request for them such as liners, wipes, etc. If you interested in me carrying a particular product still please let me know.
Thank you everyone for all your amazing support over the past year. I am still here to give recommedations or referrals if you need anything. Thank you to all my suppliers for offering fabulous products. I do hope that you will continue to follow me and my slightly altered path, as it will now have a new and very exciting direction. I have already started work on different fabrics and mediums to create some new and exciting products.
p.s I wanted to thank one person inparticular for their incredible support over the past 2 years. Ilana from AppleCheeks has been so amazingly helpful to me and my customers that I am now very fortunate to be able to call her a close friend and mentor. I know my relationship with the AppleCheeks team (Ilana, Amy and Katie) will last for years to come and I am so honored to be considered a friend by this fabulous team of hard working women.

I am so so so sad. but then I read you’d still be doing the bags, and I’m way excited about that! You’ll still be here!!!!! Your bags are gorgeous and I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for them!!!
